About I7 Ministry

The I7 Ministry Story

I7 Ministry was founded out of the personal pain and recovery of Brent and Bridget Hill.

Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

Most will remember 2020 for the worldwide COVID outbreak. The Hills will remember that year as the one when their world broke. After hiding unfaithfulness in his marriage and a lifelong sexual addiction, God lovingly exposed all the ugliness behind Brent's facade. The world they knew came crumbling down. A marriage of three decades was on the brink of ending. Resigning his full-time ministerial position caused even more insecurity in the marriage. An uncertain future lay before them.

Tens of thousands of dollars were spent on therapists, intensives, and recovery groups. All have had their place in the recovery process. All offered beneficial information. However, the real issue lay in the heart of Brent. Without a transformed heart, all the knowledge was "Vanity of vanities."

But God!

By God's grace and in His timing, God took the heart of stone and turned it into a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). He brought beauty out of the ashes so He could be glorified (Isaiah 61:3). He began the process of working out all things for the good of those who love him.

Are there still deep wounds and hurt? Yes! Are there scars that will always be a reminder of the past? Yes!

Are the consequences of sin still there? Yes!  But God!

As part of the redemptive process, Brent shares his own story of addiction, infidelity, and the slow, painful process of getting to the root of his brokenness in his book A Journey to Integrity and Wholeness. In this, he offers the framework God used to rebuild him: the I7 Concept, a biblical path to wholeness across five essential dimensions of a man's life: spiritual, emotional, intellectual, relational, and physical. Part memoir, part discipleship tool, this book doesn't flinch from the ugly bits of life. It names them, so that other men don't have to carry theirs alone. With reflection questions for personal study or group discussion, it's built for men ready to stop managing their image and start pursuing real freedom.

The heart and purpose of I7 Ministry is to see men move beneath the surface and beyond the superficial.
